Company Overview The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is one of the largest non-profit theatre organizations in the nation, presenting Broadway tours and producing theatre, cabaret, musicals, and innovative, immersive experiences. The DCPA's workforce includes more than 300 employed team members in non-union and union positions (in partnership with seven unions). In addition, we employ hundreds of artists and contractors annually. We have a strong volunteer program which includes more than 300 volunteers.

Job Purpose The General Manager manages the day-to-day financial, operational and administrative duties for all DCPA Broadway/Cabaret presentations and productions and serves as the Artistic Programmer for Cabaret productions. Duties and Responsibilities Contract Manager for over 20 Broadway and Cabaret productions with cumulative revenue budgets exceeding $30M annually. This includes partner negotiations on ticket scaling, scheduling, expense budgeting and deal terms as necessary. Oversees revenue management and forecasting for all Broadway/Cabaret productions. Creates and manages the departmental and individual production budgets for the Broadway and Cabaret divisions. Directly responsible for routine budget maintenance and quarterly forecasting. Supervises event operations and financial show settlement process, negotiating as necessary with producer's management representatives, assuring the appropriate stewardship of DCPA resources. In collaboration with IT and Marketing, provides ad-hoc data analysis reporting for departmental KPI measurements. Serves as the Artistic Programmer for the Cabaret division, including a mix of produced and presented work to maximize space usage and drive net revenue, including the selection of the Cabaret title to be a part of the Broadway subscription package. Along with title selection, this role oversees high-level creative aspects of self-produced productions - including selection of director, creative team, casting, and design concepts in collaboration with the Line Producer. Relationship owner of IATSE collective bargaining agreement (CBA) for the Garner Galleria Theatre. Along with the Executive Director and HR, negotiates CBA's for both Denver Musicians Association and Denver Theatrical Wardrobe, Local 719. Represents DCPA in the wider Broadway industry through participation in the Broadway League, Independent Presenters Network, and other organizations as appropriate. Serve as a member of the DCPA Artistic Programming Team. Business-related travel may occur 2-3 times per year. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree preferred Experience. Minimum 5 years' experience of related professional experience, 8-10 years preferred Previous experience managing a small and high-functioning team utilizing an optimistic approach to maintain a strong morale. Demonstrated technical proficiency and ability to quickly learn new software and systems Experience with analytical reporting Strong problem-solver who works proactively and independently. Ability to think strategically and execute with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities Demonstrated ability to manage organizational budgets Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively in oral and written communication on both an interpersonal and group level Ability to exercise professional discretion and confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft suite required. Experience with Tessitura, Martus, Sage, and Ramp, preferred Supervisor Responsibilities Directly supervises Business Manager, Operations Manager, and Technical Director for the Garner Galleria Theatre. Working Conditions This position may operate in a hybrid work environment in which up to two days may be remote on Mondays and Fridays. The schedule for this position varies and will routinely require hours outside of the standard work week, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
