Job Description

We're a small, growth-focused pool and hardscape construction and remodeling company based in the Scottsdale / Phoenix metro area. We value integrity, organization, and professional development — and we hold a high bar for the quality of every install we deliver. This is a high-responsibility, high-trust role for a self-motivated leader who can own client satisfaction, the schedule, the money, and expectations from start to finish, with exceptional communication at every step. A significant, project-progress-based bonus rewards work delivered on time, on budget, and to spec. Position Summary We're seeking an experienced, self-driven Pool Construction/Remodel Project Manager who excels at both field oversight and administrative management. Commercial pool build and remodel experience is what we're looking for — but strong residential pool and hardscape experience is required. This role carries a lot of weight. You'll be supported by a project coordinator, but you are the one accountable for keeping clients happy, projects on schedule, budgets on track, and communication tight and professional. If you need to be managed closely, this isn't the role. If you take ownership and run with it, keep reading. What Makes You a Fit Self-motivated and accountable — you own outcomes without being chased. Exceptional communicator — proactive, clear, and professional with clients, crews, and the office. Organized and detail-driven — you manage the schedule, the money, and the documentation without dropping a thing. Quality-obsessed — you hold yourself and your crews to a high standard on every install. Key Responsibilities (Admin-Forward) Maintain rigorous project documentation: scopes, contracts, change orders, permits, warranties, compliance, and closeout packages.
Serve as primary client contact:
proactive communication (typically every 1-2 days), expectation management, and formal progress updates. Produce accurate budgets, estimates, bills, cost tracking, invoicing support, and financial reporting for projects. Create, maintain, and enforce project schedules, staff calendars, vendor timelines, and material procurement plans. Coordinate subcontractor agreements and ensure timely deliverables. Manage all project data in our project management software and systems; keep filing systems and digital records accurate, secure, and confidential. Prepare regular operational reports, analyze internal processes, and recommend procedural and policy improvements.
Manage internal administrative workflows:
permit submittals, inspection scheduling, and project billing support. Oversee customer inquiries, service requests, and complaints with professional documentation and resolution tracking. Own jobsite quality control and safety protocols; perform regular site visits and hold crews accountable to our install standards. Field & Technical Responsibilities Provide experienced site supervision for pool builds and hardscape remodels; verify installation processes, sequencing, and quality at every phase. Read and enforce plans, specs, and contracts in the field — catch issues before they become callbacks. Work with crews to resolve technical issues and ensure every install meets contract, code, and company quality standards. Qualifications 5+ years of construction project management experience with hands-on residential pool construction (new build and remodel) and hardscape experience (required). Commercial pool build and remodel experience strongly preferred. If your background is residential new build, you can grow into commercial — we'll train. Working knowledge of construction sequencing, code, inspections, and permitting (Maricopa County / Arizona experience preferred).
Strong administrative background:
contract management, documentation, budgeting, invoicing, and reporting. Self-motivated with exceptional organization, attention to detail, integrity, and follow-through. Excellent written and verbal communication; high level of customer interaction and professionalism. Tech-comfortable and quick to adopt our software stack and able to learn and live in a cloud-based construction project management platform. Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple active projects and deadlines. A demonstrated commitment to integrity, honesty, and long-term customer relationships. Compensation Base salary starting at $70,000 per year, with room to grow based on experience and performance. Plus a significant project-progress-based bonus tied to projects delivered on time, on budget, and to our quality standards. Company car, phone, and computer provided. Benefits Health insurance Life insurance Disability insurance Retirement plan How to Apply Send your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your pool construction and hardscape experience (commercial and/or residential) and your administrative and field work strengths. Include current references and examples of projects you've managed (photos or summaries strongly preferred). If you're a self-motivated, detail-driven, quality-obsessed construction leader with strong administrative skills and unshakable integrity, we want to hear from you.
