Product Manager, Kids Crafts & Activity (CPG)

To support our growth, we are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our Product Development team and lead our kids crafts & activity brand, Little Yellow Bicycle. Role Overview The Product Manager will own the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through production, with a strong focus on execution, speed to market, and retail success. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with Brand/Marketing, Creative, Sales, and Operations. The ideal candidate is a strong operator who can manage multiple projects, work directly with overseas factories, and consistently deliver high-quality products on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Product Development Lead the full lifecycle of product development from concept through production and launch. Translate brand and market direction into clear product briefs, specifications, and development plans. Execution & Speed to Market Manage timelines across multiple projects to ensure fast, efficient product launches. Drive accountability across internal teams and external partners to meet deadlines. Factory Management & Sourcing Work directly with overseas (primarily Asian) factories on sourcing, sampling, costing, and production. Evaluate factory capabilities, negotiate costs, and ensure quality standards are met. Product Specifications & Costing Develop detailed product specs, packaging requirements, and costing targets. Ensure products meet margin expectations and retailer requirements. Testing & Compliance Oversee product testing and compliance requirements (e.g., CPSIA, safety standards). Ensure all products meet regulatory and retailer-specific standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Brand/Marketing to align product direction with consumer and retail strategy. Collaborate with Creative on packaging and product design execution. Work with Sales to support product sell-in and retailer presentations. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Development within CPG. Experience in kids toys, crafts, or activity-based products strongly preferred. Experience working directly with overseas factories is preferred. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver products on tight timelines. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Detail-oriented with a focus on execution and results. Work Environment This is a hybrid role, with three (3) days per week in our Portsmouth, NH office. Local candidates are preferred.
