Job Description
Racked Studio Coaches are responsible for delivering high-energy, technique-driven strength training classes while creating a motivating and supportive member experience. Coaches lead small-group lifting sessions focused on progressive overload, proper mechanics, and measurable member results. This role is ideal for coaches who are passionate about strength development, coaching movement patterns, and building community within a boutique training environment. Key Responsibilities Coaching & Class Delivery Lead structured small-group strength training sessions (approx. 55 minutes) Coach proper form on compound and accessory movements Provide real-time technique corrections and regressions/progressions Ensure safe lifting practices and adherence to programming Deliver high-energy coaching that drives effort and engagement Member Experience Build relationships with members and foster a strong community culture Welcome new members and provide onboarding support Encourage retention through connection and accountability Recognize member progress and milestones Deliver a premium boutique fitness experience Sales of memberships and lead management is required Programming Execution Execute Racked Studio programming as designed Understand training phases (strength, hypertrophy, capacity, technique) Ensure proper loading and progression for members Assist members with weight selection and progression strategies Studio Operations Support Assist with class setup and breakdown Maintain cleanliness and organization of racks and equipment Ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained Support studio events and community initiatives Performance Expectations Successful coaches demonstrate: Strong technical coaching ability Positive energy and presence on the floor Ability to command a room while coaching individuals Attention to safety and detail Consistent professionalism
Qualifications Required:
Personal/Group Training Certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, ISSA, etc.) Strong understanding of barbell lifts: Squat Deadlift Bench Press Overhead Press Olympic lift variations (preferred) Group training experience preferred CPR/AED certificationPreferred:
Strength & conditioning background Experience coaching small group training and 1-2 yr minimum coaching CSCS certification (bonus) Background in powerlifting, strength sports, or athletics Success Metrics Coaches will be evaluated based on: Member experience scores Class energy and engagement Member retention impact Coaching quality and safety Professionalism and reliabilityPay:
