Family-owned since 1973, the Club has built a 50+ year reputation for excellence, community, wellness, and member experience. This is a unique opportunity to steward a thriving, multi-faceted business while helping shape its next chapter of growth and innovation. We are looking for a leader who combines operational excellence with warmth, professionalism, strategic thinking, and a passion for building strong teams and meaningful member experiences. About the Role The General Manager oversees all aspects of Club operations including leadership development, financial performance, membership experience, staffing, programming support, and facility operations. This individual will work closely with ownership and department leaders to ensure the Club continues to thrive as a welcoming, high-performing, community-centered organization. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on engagement in the daily life of the Club. Key Responsibilities Club Leadership & Operations Lead daily operations of the Club with a focus on excellence, efficiency, and member satisfaction Develop and improve systems, policies, and operational procedures Collaborate with department leaders to support exceptional tennis, fitness, and member programming Maintain a visible and engaged leadership presence throughout the Club Support a culture that reflects the Club's Core Values and caring community atmosphere Financial Management Monitor and manage Club financial performance, budgeting, expense control, and revenue growth Analyze key business metrics including membership growth, retention, programming participation, and operational efficiency Work collaboratively with ownership on annual budgeting and strategic planning Team Leadership & Human Resources Lead and support department heads including Tennis, Fitness, Member Services, Marketing, Operations Administration, and Housekeeping Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain outstanding team members Oversee performance management, goal setting, employee development, and staffing strategy Foster a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture Ensure compliance with employment policies and applicable regulations Member Experience & Community Engagement Ensure members and guests consistently experience a welcoming, professional, and service-oriented environment Support membership growth and retention initiatives Address member concerns promptly and professionally Become highly knowledgeable about Club offerings and member benefits Facility & Safety Oversight Ensure the Club remains safe, clean, organized, and operating at a high standard Oversee facility maintenance, housekeeping, equipment repairs, and vendor relationships Develop and maintain preventative maintenance systems and operational standards Qualifications Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Recreation, Fitness, or related field preferred Minimum 4+ years of leadership or management experience, ideally within hospitality, recreation, club, fitness, or service-based industries Strong financial management and operational experience Experience leading teams and developing employees CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
