Job Description

The Day Camp Manager will oversee our weekly day camp - Camp Trail Blaze. This position is responsible for the daily operations of the camp at all facilities used. The Day Camp Manager provides supervision of the Assistant Day Camp Manager and Day Camp Leaders and campers. They are also expected to communicate to the District Executive Director or Recreation Coordinator about concerns or safety issues at camp. The Day Camp Manager is responsible for scheduling daily camp activities and providing customer service to parents, custodians, staff, and campers. This position will work with a team that has established five core values. The ideal candidate will:
Be an extrovert who loves ice-breakers and singing in groups. Have experience working with children. Can work with limited supervision. Have a passion for developing environments that celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion. Have effective interpersonal and group communication techniques. Can effectively supervise the work of others and accomplish all necessary work in a team environment. Can gain compliance with policies and procedures. Can establish a sound working partnership with customers/partners served. Be able to work throughout the summer. Have experience in coming up with games, crafts, sports, field trips, etc. Have a valid driver's license. Hours range from 20-40 per week.
