Position Summary Information Posting Number P2309 Job Title Musical Theatre Director (Seasonal Assignment) Students Only No Job Description Summary The College shall pay the Independent Contractor a total of $2,000 to be divided as follows: a. To teach music and coach the cast of " Disney's Frozen ." ($2,000) b. The rehearsal and performance dates for " Disney's Frozen " are
TENTATIVELY
from the mid-September 2026 through December 5th, 2026. B. There is no additional compensation for housing, per diem, or travel expenses. C. Payments shall be preceded by an invoice from the Independent Contractor, which the College shall then pay in the ordinary course of approving expenditures. D. Independent Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, except as provided in this Section II, it shall not be entitled to, and the College shall not be obligated to pay, any monies or other compensation for the services provided. Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Music, Musical Theatre, Fine Arts, or a Related Field Two to ten years of documented experience music directing for Musical Theatre and/or Opera Productions. Comprehensive knowledge of the concepts, technologies, principles and practices of vocal pedagogy. Evidence of continued professional development. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and administrators. Ability to exercise sound judgment in all facets of the student-teacher relationship and to teach a diverse group of community college students. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of course content. Demonstrates pedagogical ability. Ability to relate well in a classroom environment. Equivalency Statement For those who do not exactly meet all the minimum qualifications, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which has provided comparable knowledge and abilities, may be acceptable Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
(Knowledge, Abilities, Education and Experience) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Music Direction or Accompaniment or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Documented experience music directing at the college level. Documented experience music directing at the professional level.
