The YMCA Y Scholars Program is looking for Group Leaders to deliver dynamic and enriching Camp experiences for students in grades TK-6. You will facilitate daily activities, connect with your cohort of students, and help build a safe and energized environment where every child can explore, grow, and thrive. Non-Exempt Schedule:
5 days/week, Monday through
Friday Shift:
8-hour shift within an 8:00am-6:00pm window
Hours:
40 hours/week

Downer Elementary and Bayview Elementary (both in city of San Pablo)

Professional development training and priority hiring consideration for our afterschool teams for 2026-2027 What You'll Do As a Program Facilitator, you'll be the driving force behind every meaningful moment in the day.
Core responsibilities include:
Overseeing cohorts of 10-15 students with a focus on safety, engagement, and well-being Delivering daily lesson plans that integrate academic enrichment, physical activity, and creative exploration Executing activities aligned with prepared curriculum each program day Navigating behavioral challenges with steadiness, empathy, and clear boundaries Handling unexpected situations calmly and decisively to protect a safe environment Maintaining accurate daily attendance records Partnering with teammates to keep camp spaces clean, organized, and welcoming Minimum Qualifications 18 years of age or older Minimum 1 year of experience in youth programming or development 48 completed college units or a passing score on the Instructional Aide Exam (exam support provided if needed) Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background screening CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred You're the
