Summer Camp Leader

Mad Science is looking for Summer Camp counselors to run our Summer programs in Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Camps run for 5 days a week from late June to end of August, can be from 9am-12pm or 9am-3pm. Candidates must have a reliable means of transportation, must be energetic, fun and enjoy working with kids. Position requires travelling to different locations throughout Fairfield & New Haven counties. We provide paid training and mileage reimbursement in addition to basic pay. This job is ideal for returning college students.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise camp activities for children
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all camp participants
• Provide guidance and support to camp counselors
• Maintain a positive and inclusive camp environment

Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess one or more of the following skills or experiences:

• Previous experience working with students in any capacity
• Strong classroom management skills
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles
• Previous experience in babysitting, daycare, childcare, or tutoring
