Job Description

EXCELLENT PART-TIME JOB
- Weekends & Evenings, predictable schedule! Have a front row seat to the best shows in town and join our House Management team in our brand new Diamond Head Theatre! DHT is seeking a House Manager who will oversee the night time and matinee front-of- house operations including our refreshment stand during shows. Ideal candidate will possess a smiling welcoming attitude; have the maturity to handle volunteers (many of whom are seniors); be able to resolve patron complaints; and will have the skills to deal with emergencies that may arise. Show schedules are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 6:00pm to 11pm, some Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30pm to 6pm. Must be available to work at least several shifts during a regular show run (3-4 weeks).
Preferred skills include:
Even temperament, ability to supervise effectively Strong management skills Able to support sustained physical activity e.g., lifting up to 40lbs. (sodas and water bottles), pushing carts, lobby set up and remaining on feet for periods of time Ability to handle fast paced environment with many disruptions Maintains a competent, professional image Has experience working with volunteers Practical knowledge of theatre environment is a plus Benefits include free access to watch DHT performances, free parking, and flexible scheduling.
