Camp Director Position Summary The Camp Cabin Leader is responsible for creating a safe, supportive, and engaging living environment for campers with physical and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on daily care, supervision, and fostering independence while ensuring each camper has a meaningful and inclusive camp experience. The Cabin Leader serves as a primary point of support, building strong relationships with campers and promoting a sense of belonging within the cabin group. As a Camp Cabin Leader, you'll be the go-to support person for your group of campers-creating a safe, structured, and fun environment where individuals with disabilities can thrive. You're not just supervising-you're building relationships, fostering independence, and creating a true sense of belonging. What You'll Do Create a Positive Cabin Community Build a welcoming, inclusive, and structured cabin environment Establish routines that promote comfort, independence, and success Help campers feel safe, valued, and part of a team Provide Hands-On Support Assist with daily living needs (hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding as needed) Support mobility, transfers, and use of adaptive equipment Encourage independence while providing the right level of support Ensure SafetyWellbeing Maintain active supervision at all times Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures Use de-escalation strategies and positive behavior supports Engage in the Camp Experience Participate in daily activities alongside campers Encourage involvement and social interaction Be a positive, energetic role modelWhat You Bring Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a caregiving role Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a team-first mindsetBonus Points If You Have:
