Position Summary The Operations Supervisor plays a key role in supporting daily hotel operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This position provides hands-on leadership and operational support across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments. The Operations Supervisor serves as a resource for associates, assists with operational execution, supports service recovery, and helps maintain Marriott brand standards throughout the property. Key Responsibilities Provide visible leadership and support throughout the hotel. Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned, responding to guest concerns and operational needs. Assist Front Office operations including guest arrivals, departures, requests, and service recovery. Monitor daily hotel operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and service standards are maintained. Support Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and other departments as needed. Communicate guest concerns, maintenance needs, and operational updates to appropriate leaders. Coach and support associates to deliver exceptional guest service. Assist with associate training, onboarding, and reinforcement of hotel procedures. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture. Assist with scheduling, timecard review, and administrative tasks as assigned. Support inventory management, supply tracking, and operational processes. Conduct routine property inspections and identify opportunities for improvement. Assist with emergency response procedures and incident reporting. Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and safety procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous hospitality, hotel, or customer service leadership experience preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Previous hotel supervisory or Manager on Duty experience. Marriott brand experience. Experience in Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, or hotel operations. Experience with Lightspeed PMS or comparable property management systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs. Hotel operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position. Minimum availability of 16 hours per week required for part-time associates. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move throughout the hotel environment. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to work throughout guest rooms, public spaces, and food & beverage areas.
