Summer Camp Lead Teacher

Academic Summer Teacher SportPlus Academy - Charlotte, NC June 15 - Mid-August | Mon-Fri, 9 AM-4 PM | $20 per hour (1099 contractor) | In-person SportPlus Academy is hiring an Academic Summer Teacher to lead fun, hands-on learning activities for kids ages 6-12. If you're great with children and can confidently lead math, reading, or enrichment sessions as well as summer camp activities we'd love to meet you! It's essential the person in this role works off their own curriculum. We have camp themes and necessary supplies and facilities, but it is up for the lead teacher to create unique engaging days. Responsibilities Teach daily academic sessions (math, reading, language, etc.) in a fun and engaging way Encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and participation Supervise daytime activities like table games, LEGO, arts & crafts, and group games Help maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment Communicate with staff and students to keep the day running smoothly Qualifications Experience teaching or tutoring children (required) Confident leading a group of 6-12 year olds Organized and arrives on time, creative, and positive CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, not required) Background in education, youth programs, or child development (preferred)

Job Details Pay :

$20 per hour (1099 contractor)

Schedule :

possiblity for half day or full day (9am-1pm or 9am-4pm)
