School-Age-After School/Summer Camp Group Leader

We are looking for an individual who has experience working with children, can manage a classroom, and create a fun environment for our school-aged children. We transport to and from multiple local schools, and provide child care for after school hours, school holidays, and summer beak. If you have a love of learning, working with children, and plenty of patience, we would love to have you on our team!

Responsibilities:

Providing a fun environment for children during after-school hours, school holidays, and summer break. Creating engaging lessons and activities. Coaching children in social skills. Cleaning and organizing the classroom environment. Driving a van to and from local schools and field trips Ensuring the safety of each child. Monitoring behavior and routines of the classroom. Communicating with parents. Following state and facility rules and regulations.

Skills:

Excellent communication skills. Creativity is a must! Patience Behavior management Well organized Time management Willing to learn!

On-Job Training:

Staff orientation BSAC (Basic School Age Care) Van Driving (2 weeks) Child care regulations

Requirements:

BSAC or willing to get your BSAC certificate. (Basic School Age Certificate) CPR/First-Aid Criminal background check DCDEE qualifying letter

Current Medical and Negative TB Results Pay:

$12.00 - $16.00 per hour
