General Manager

About Us Escape Games LI is a multi-location escape room business with two locations in Ronkonkoma and one in Brookhaven. We create immersive, high-energy experiences for groups of all kinds -- from birthday parties to corporate team-building events. We're looking for a motivated, people-first leader to take ownership of day-to-day operations across our locations. The Role This is a hands-on general management position for someone who thrives without a micromanager looking over their shoulder. Because ownership operates remotely, the right candidate is someone who takes genuine pride in the business, holds themselves accountable, and communicates proactively. Core Responsibilities Organizing and delegating all operational responsibilities across locations, hiring and managing game masters and supporting staff, scheduling, performance management, and team development. Overseeing inventory of supplies and equipment, and tracking key metrics including sales, customer counts, gift certificates, overtime, and maintenance costs. Managing all operational systems including booking software, waiver apps, HR processes, and online review and social media platforms. Keeping ownership regularly informed and up to date through clear, consistent communication. Maintaining the physical spaces across all three locations, including general cleanliness, basic repairs, and coordinating outside contractors when needed. Ensuring an outstanding customer experience at every visit, leading by example with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism. Ability to perform any role at the locations, including game master. Answering incoming phone calls and managing the company inbox in a timely and professional manner. Handling all cash responsibilities including tracking and bank deposits. What We're Looking For A natural people person who genuinely enjoys interacting with guests and motivating a team Self-directed and accountable -- comfortable owning outcomes without day-to-day oversight Strong communicator, both with staff and with ownership Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays (this is the entertainment business) Experience in operations, hospitality, entertainment, or retail management preferred Familiarity with learning software, and basic tech troubleshooting a plus Interest in or experience with escape rooms or similar entertainment a bonus, but not required

Pay:

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
