Seasonal School Age Camp Leader Curious Minds ECE Wichita Falls, TX Job Details Part-time $11 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications CPR Certification First aid First Aid Certification Working with students Classroom experience Teaching Full Job Description Job Overview Join our team as a school age summer teacher where your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young learners, ages 5 to 13, to create memorable educational experiences! This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage children in enriching activities, foster their growth, and support their development in a dynamic summer environment. You will be instrumental in delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom activities, and ensuring a safe, inclusive space for all participants. This paid position is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about education, childcare, and working with children during the summer months. This position would be a great fit for a college student or teacher/teacher's aide looking for temporary summer employment. Schedule is Monday thru Friday from 7am to 1pm and starts May 21, 2026 and ends August 8, 2026. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies Foster a safe and welcoming environment by maintaining classroom discipline and ensuring safety protocols are followed Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities Requirements Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, childcare, or camp settings preferred Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to start) Ability to pass a complete background check, including fingerprinting Experience working with children with special needs or in special education is a plus Ability to engage children through weekly themes with fun, engaging workshops and projects Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards working with students of all backgrounds Embark on a rewarding summer journey where your energy makes a difference!
