Lead Aquatics Specialist - Summer Waterfront Manager

8 weeks of camp plus 7 days of mandatory staff training.

Preference is given to candidates available for the full summer season.

Professional Development :

Includes First Aid and CPR training as part of the Madeira Camps orientation. Requirements (Must-Haves)

Education :

Minimum of two years of college or equivalent professional experience.

Experience :

Previous aquatics or leadership experience is required.

Availability :

Must be able to commit to the full 8-week program and work more than 40 hours per week.

Leadership :

Ability to supervise staff and monitor safety procedures at both pool and pond locations. Responsibilities As the Lead Aquatics Specialist, you serve as the primary supervisor for all waterfront and pool programming, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all Camp Greenway participants. Aquatics Leadership & Supervision Supervise Madeira Camps' lifeguards and act as the primary liaison with contracted lifeguard staff. Manage staff scheduling to ensure complete coverage for all pool and pond activities. Monitor the performance of aquatics staff and report concerns to the administrative leadership team. Serve as the first-level contact for responding to and documenting incidents at the waterfront or pool. Program Development & Safety Design and submit an original 8-week aquatics program during staff training. Facilitate all aquatics activities while enforcing strict safety guidelines and camp rules. Support counselors by providing easy-to-understand instructions for facilitating water activities. Operations & Stewardship Manage a full inventory of supplies, tracking needs throughout the summer and cleaning/storing all items at the end of camp. Attend all morning meetings, leadership meetings, and clean-up days. Assist with daily camp logistics, including morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Pay:

$115.00 - $128.00 per day
