- Day Camp Leader Shoreline, WA Job Details Seasonal $19.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Shoreline is an inclusive City that endeavors to build a work culture which embraces diversity, encourages participation, and promotes equity. We are seeking up to twenty (20) Day Camp Leaders for our Camp Shoreline summer program who can work during the listed program dates. There are also opportunities for Day Camp Leaders to work during the School's Out program, dates listed below as well. These are seasonal and non-benefited positions that work between 20- 40 hours per week Monday
- Friday .
Position Details:
Monday- Friday 4 hour to 8 hour shifts, between the hours of 7:00 AM
- 6:00 PM Program locations include: Spartan Recreation Center, Meridian Park Elementary School, the Outdoor Camp locations at Hamlin Park and Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. Paid day camp leader training will be scheduled an average of 12 hours in May
- June 2026 Camp Shoreline summer program dates:

June 22nd- August 21st 2026 School's Out program dates:
Winter Break:
December 21st- December 31st The successful candidates will be able to work all or most of the Camp Shoreline summer program dates.
Scope of Work:
Provide direct instruction, leadership and supervision at Camp Shoreline Summer Camp and School's Out Day Camps taking place during Shoreline School District School year breaks for children (ages 5-12). Assist in planning activities and lead participants in a variety of activities, including visual and performing arts, sports, creative movement, team and individual games and special events. P ositions may work a maximum of 40 hours each week during summer camp and school year break camps with planning hours, as needed, prior to camps. During the month of July, positions may only work a maximum of 28 hours per week.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Essential Functions:
Daily in-person interaction with campers and serve as a positive role model. Supervision of campers. Assist with the daily planning, scheduling, and staffing of Camp Shoreline. Communicate with the community and participant families in a professional manner.QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Participate and work effectively in an organization committed to advancing principles and practices of equity and anti-racism. Ability to interact with diverse populations of all ages in a friendly environment. Experience leading recreation activities for youth. Strong interest and ability to lead activities in art, sports, and games for youth. Strong verbal communication skills with an enthusiastic and friendly personality.Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old. Current First Aid/CPR certification is required, on-site training will be provided for those who are not currently certified. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing State/Federal pre-employment background checks.SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
