Job Description

Job Summary The Chamber Director of Events and Service is responsible for growing Chamber revenue, strengthening member engagement, and executing high-quality events that support the Chamber's mission of economic and community development. This position leads sponsorship sales, event planning, member recruitment and retention efforts, and relationship management with local businesses, community leaders, and strategic partners. The ideal candidate is highly relational, organized, sales-oriented, and passionate about serving the business community. Duties Event Planning & Execution Plan, coordinate, and execute Chamber events, including: o Annual Banquet o First Friday Coffee o Business After Hours o Ribbon Cuttings o Leadership programs o Community festivals and special events o Educational workshops and networking events
  • Coordinate venues, vendors, catering, signage, audio/visual needs, and volunteers.
  • Develop event timelines, budgets, sponsorship materials, and promotional plans.
  • Ensure professional and welcoming event experiences for members and guests.
  • Manage event registration systems and attendee communications. Sponsorship & Sales
  • Develop and sell event sponsorship packages.
  • Recruit new Chamber members and maintain strong relationships with existing members.
  • Conduct regular business visits and outreach.
  • Identify opportunities for non-dues revenue growth.
  • Assist in annual partnership and investor campaigns.
  • Maintain sponsorship fulfillment and ensure sponsor recognition commitments are completed. Member Engagement & Communication
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Chamber members.
  • Help businesses maximize Chamber membership benefits.
  • Coordinate ambassador or volunteer engagement efforts.
  • Assist with social media, newsletters, and event marketing.
  • Promote Chamber programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts. Administrative & Operational Support
  • Maintain accurate CRM/member database records.
  • Assist with invoicing, sponsorship tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepare event reports and participation metrics.
  • Support Chamber leadership with strategic initiatives and community partnerships. Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sales, fundraising, or business development experience preferred.
  • Event planning or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM software, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Positive attitude with a servant-leadership mindset. Preferred Qualifications
  • Chamber of Commerce, nonprofit, hospitality, tourism, marketing, or business development experience.
  • Sponsorship sales or account management experience. Familiarity with software Canva.
  • Familiarity with the local business community. Performance Expectations Success in this role may be measured by:

Pay:
$45,707.00 - $65,000.00 per year
