In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth event operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting event planning and execution. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to the success of each event, from small gatherings to large-scale functions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality, event marketing, and client relations while working in a lively environment. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including catering arrangements, banquet setups, and equipment placement Coordinate with vendors, clients, and team members to ensure all event requirements are met efficiently Support event marketing efforts by promoting upcoming events and upselling additional services or packages to clients Manage guest services by greeting attendees, providing information, and addressing inquiries promptly Oversee event logistics such as scheduling, time management, and adherence to budgets to ensure seamless execution Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the event planning process and during events Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including catering standards and hotel or restaurant policies Assist with contracts, venue arrangements, and vendor negotiations to optimize resources and enhance guest experiences Experience Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, hotel operations, or banquet management is highly desirable Strong skills in negotiation, customer service, and communication are essential for success in this role Familiarity with event marketing, planning, and management tools will be advantageous Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent organizational skills and time management Experience in fundraising or guest services can be beneficial for supporting diverse event types Knowledge of catering operations, contracts, budgeting processes, and hospitality standards will help you excel Prior involvement in events management or banquet service provides a solid foundation for this energetic support role
