In this role, you will play a vital part in planning, organizing, and executing a variety of community events, ensuring each experience is memorable and impactful. Your energy, organizational skills, and passion for hospitality will help foster meaningful connections with attendees and partners alike. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your event management expertise while making a positive difference in the community. Duties Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to plan engaging events that align with organizational goals and community needs Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, catering arrangements, and equipment setup Manage event marketing efforts through social media, email campaigns, and outreach to maximize attendance and visibility Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, caterers, and other service providers to secure the best terms and services Oversee event budgeting, tracking expenses to ensure cost-effective planning without compromising quality Provide exceptional guest services during events by addressing attendee inquiries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Assist with upselling opportunities such as sponsorships or premium packages to enhance event revenue and engagement Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including coordinating catering and banquet services when applicable Maintain detailed records of event plans, contracts, budgets, and post-event evaluations for continuous improvement Experience Previous experience in event planning or coordination within hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or fundraising environments is highly desirable Strong negotiation skills with vendors and partners to secure favorable agreements Proven ability in marketing and promoting events through various channels to boost participation Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to liaise effectively with team members, vendors, and attendees Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously Experience in banquet service or catering operations is a plus Familiarity with event management software or tools is advantageous Join us as an Events Coordinator (Volunteer) to bring your passion for hospitality and community engagement to life!
