The Club features 36 holes of golf, 9 tennis courts, 10 pickleball courts, a wellness facility, and 55,000-square-foot clubhouse. Amenities also include a casual snack bar "Spikes," and a food truck "The Kitchen." The 8-acre golf practice area includes a double-sided driving range, two short-game areas, two putting greens, three chipping greens, and practice bunkers. Overview The Golf Tournament Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing and executing golf tournaments and Club events from start to finish. In this role, the Coordinator works closely with the Director of Golf, vendors and Club staff to manage logistics such as registration, pairings, scoring and awards while delivering excellent communication, service and event execution.
Reports to:
Director of Golf Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of event coordination experience in a golf or country club environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Planning, Hospitality or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Golf Genius, social media platforms and Canva.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary Club information and sensitive employee matters, unless otherwise authorized.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, wind and humidity.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, climb ladders, squat or kneel, reach, grasp, push, pull, twist, bend and lift or carry up to 100 pounds.
  • Availability to work additional hours as needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Key Responsibilities
Tournament Planning and Execution:
Plan and oversee golf tournaments, including all member events, from initial concept through final execution.
    Event Logistics:
    Create detailed event timelines covering registration, staffing, pairings, scoring systems and awards.
      Participant Communication:
      Communicate schedules, rules, special instructions, and updates to tournament participants in a timely and professional manner.
        Collaboration:
        Partner with the Director of Golf, golf operations team, Club staff, food and beverage, grounds maintenance and other departments to ensure successful events.
          Customer Service:
          Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, responding to questions, concerns and special requests while maintaining a high level of member and guest satisfaction.
            Promotions and Reporting:
            Assist with promotional materials such as flyers, email announcements and event brochures, and compile and distribute tournament results and reports.
              Budget and Administration:
              Create and manage tournament budgets, track revenue, expenses and participant fees, and submit invoices promptly to the Director of Golf.
                Professional Standards:
                Follow all Club and department policies, procedures and safety standards, while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
                  Team Support and Development:
                  Support colleagues as needed, attend daily briefings, complete additional assignments from the Director of Golf and pursue ongoing professional development and required certifications. Compensation and Benefits
                    Employment Type and Pay:
                    This is a full-time seasonal position from November through the end of May paying $40.00 per hour.
