Position Summary The Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused Events Support Staff member to assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of Chamber events throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about supporting the local business community. The Events Support Staff member will work closely with the Director of Events and Chamber team to ensure events are professionally executed and provide an exceptional experience for attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Event Planning & Coordination Assist with planning and logistics for Chamber events, including mixers, luncheons, ribbon cuttings, tournaments, workshops, and signature fundraising events. Support venue coordination, vendor communication, and event timelines. Prepare event materials, signage, name badges, registration lists, and attendee packets. Help coordinate sponsor benefits and event activations. Event Execution Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, signage, registration areas, décor, and sponsor displays. Staff registration and check-in tables. Welcome attendees and provide exceptional customer service. Support vendors, volunteers, speakers, and sponsors during events. Troubleshoot event-related issues and assist with day-of logistics. Administrative Support Maintain event records, attendance data, and registration lists. Assist with data entry and updating event information in Chamber software systems. Support invoicing, sponsor tracking, and event reporting. Help coordinate volunteer schedules and communications. Marketing & Promotion Support Assist with distributing promotional materials and event communications. Capture photos and videos during events for social media and marketing use. Help maintain event calendars and online registrations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, events, marketing, or administrative support preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable interacting with business leaders, community members, and volunteers. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and event registration platforms. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist with event setup and breakdown. Schedule & Availability Flexible schedule based on event needs. Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends is required. Part-time position, approximately 10-20 hours per week, with increased hours during major event seasons.
