Job Description

The RoleWe are looking for a reliable, hospitality-minded professional to join our small team.
This is a dual-focus role:
you will be the "guardian of the clubhous" on Sundays and Mondays, ensuring the club is pristine for our daytime members. Secondly, the right candidate will qualify for shifts as an events assistant with room to grow. Part 1:
Morning Setup & OperationsThe Reset:
Arrive before 9am to ensure the clubhouse is reset, tidy, and welcoming. This includes light cleaning like wiping tables, garbage removal, and glassware polishing.
Pantry Management:
Stock the member pantry (mixers, garnishes, snacks) and ensure the coffee/tea station is ready for the day.
Facility Care:
Routinely check the club amenities to make sure everything is ready and functioning for member use.
Member Support:
Be a friendly face at the club! Looking for someone that is outgoing and will enjoy the occasional small talk with members and guests. Part 2:
Event AssistanceNeeds:
Birch Road events range from live music performances to wine tastings to weddings and more. Need a professional and experienced individual who can anticipate the clients needs and respond in a quick and friendly manner.
Setup/Breakdown:
Assist with event-specific layouts, vendor load-ins (tastemakers/educators), and post-event cleanup.
Hospitality:
Act as the face of the club during events, ensuring a smooth experience for both members and guest presenters.
Who You AreA Local Neighbor:
Ideal for someone who lives withing 10 minutes of the club. Reliable transportation and ease of getting to and from work is essential. Shifts can be short (less than 3hrs) so this job is not a good fit for long commutes.
Hospitality Pro:
You have 1-2 years of experience in events, catering, or service. You understand that "the little things" make a big difference.
Self-Starter:
You enjoy working independently in the mornings and don't need a manager looking over your shoulder to see what needs to be done.
Communication Star:
You are comfortable chatting with members and coordinating with club management.
Side Hustler:
While there is room for growth, this is a small role. Looking for someone in the restaurant or perhaps wellness industry who needs some extra money on the side.
ScheduleMorning Shifts:
Sundays 9AM - Noon. Mondays 8AM - 10
AMEvents Shifts:
Sporadic and varied.

Physical demands:

Ability to work on one s feet for 4-5 hours at a time.

Ability to handle delicate glassware and silverware for detailed and repetitive hand and wrist rotationAbility to lift or move supplies, equipment, boxes, documents and materials weighing up to 40 lbs Ability to use stairs, ladders, etc. for purposes of reaching stored equipment, replacing supplies as needed (i.e. changing lightbulbs and air filters, etc.)Must be able to communicate via phone, email, and in-person with members, colleagues and professional contacts (i.e. vendors, support service providers, etc.)
