Position Summary:
The College of Business at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Event Manager•College of Business•Executive Education in Boca Raton, FL. The FAU College of Business is one of the largest AACSB-accredited colleges of business in the United States, with more than 8,000 students. The college has seven departments and an impressive offering of degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (including Ph.D.) as well as many online, executive, and certificate programs. The Event Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating a wide range of high-impact events that support the strategic goals of the College of Business•Executive Education. Responsible for overseeing all events, but has a heavy emphasis on corporate and external clients, which includes but is not limited to corporate events, executive forums, donor engagement events, and conferences. These events will enhance the college's reputation and strengthen corporate partnerships that can lead to various business development opportunities. The Event Manager will work closely with the Director and receive specific directives and initiatives to drive strategic priorities while ensuring the brand and mission are preserved. Plan and execute a variety of corporate events such as, but not limited to, conferences, networking receptions, and leadership forums. Collaborate with leadership to align event programming with strategic initiatives and corporate engagement goals. Develop event timelines to ensure seamless execution and identify opportunities for new signature events. Manage logistical aspects of events, including venue coordination, catering, audiovisual needs, signage, registration, and staffing. Ensure all events adhere to university policies, guidelines, and risk management standards. Track and process payments to reconcile the budget for all events. Implement best practices to continually enhance the event quality and impact, and provide white-glove customer service to all clients. Coordinate cross-functional teams, to include but not limited to, IT support, Operations, and event staff. Serve as a liaison between the College of Business•Executive Education and corporate clients. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. BDB Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
