Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant summer program as a Summer Art Studio & Party Assistant, where you will play a dynamic role in inspiring creativity and joy among children through engaging art camps, workshops, and themed parties. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment dedicated to fostering artistic expression, developing new skills, and creating memorable experiences for young artists. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and organizational skills will help make each event an inspiring success! Responsibilities Assist in planning and executing age-appropriate art activities, workshops, and themed parties that promote creativity and fun. Support children during art projects by providing guidance, encouragement, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Help set up and clean up art stations, party areas, and materials before and after each event to ensure a smooth flow. Manage classroom behavior by implementing positive reinforcement strategies and maintaining an organized environment. Collaborate with lead instructors to develop engaging curriculum content that caters to various age groups and skill levels. Support special event preparations such as themed decorations, photo opportunities, and activity stations to enhance the overall experience. Maintain a cheerful attitude while working with children of diverse backgrounds, ensuring they feel welcomed and inspired to express themselves artistically. Qualifications Previous experience working with children in educational or recreational settings, including preschool or early childhood education preferred. Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Demonstrated ability to engage children through arts such as painting, drawing, sewing, or theater activities; additional skills in photography, ballet, dancing, or culinary arts are a plus. Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience with special education needs is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence and initiative. Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple activities simultaneously in a lively environment. Passion for fostering creativity through arts education combined with patience, enthusiasm, and positive energy. This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to inspire young minds through arts while gaining valuable experience in teaching, event coordination, and creative program delivery!
