Event Assistant Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention - 5.0 Gainesville, FL Job Details Part-time Up to $15 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Handling customer inquiries High school diploma or GED Customer support Event customer service Full Job Description The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention (Cade Museum) a non-profit 501(c)3 located in Gainesville, Florida, is seeking to hire a creative, organized, and detail-oriented individual to support our team in the role of Event Assistant. This is a part-time position for up to 24 hours per week. The Event Assistant is responsible for assisting the Facility Rentals Manager in implementing the facility rentals of all Cade Museum buildings. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and willing to jump in without hesitation when a need is observed. This is a position for a confident, dynamic, detail-oriented team player, with strong customer service, organizational and communication skills. This position requires Tuesday morning/afternoon shifts, weekend, evening, and some holiday hours. General Responsibilities Create floor plans Setup, breakdown, and help maintain all Cade owned equipment and furniture Be present for duration of facility rental events Provide support for internal events as necessary Other duties as necessary or assigned Qualifications and Skills High school degree or GED At least one year of event planning experience preferred Food and Beverage experience preferred Must be able to lift 25+ pounds Ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude with a "will do" work ethic Must possess strong work ethic, professionalism, dependability and excellent customer support skills Proficiency in the following applications:
Microsoft Office:
Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Basic knowledge of Blackbaud, Altru is a plus Knowledge of Social Tables, or similar event layout platform
