We are seeking a reliable, highly organized, and versatile individual to manage the daily operations, cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of both our residential home and synagogue, classrooms and office while providing vital support for our family and events. This multifaceted role requires someone who can seamlessly switch gears between thorough and deep cleaning, professional organizing, hospitality/event serving , and direct childcare assistance. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who loves creating orderly systems, enjoys working with children, possesses a clean driving record, and brings a warm, service-oriented attitude to every task. Key Responsibilities 1. Cleaning & Professional Organizing (Home & Office) this will be the bulk of the hours for this job Perform deep and routine cleaning of both the family residence and the office space (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing).
Declutter and organize spaces:
Create and maintain efficient organizational systems for closets, pantries, toy rooms, office files, and storage areas as needed. Monitor inventory of household, childcare, office, and hosting supplies, restocking before items run out. Empty trash and break down boxes regularly 2. Laundry & Wardrobe Care Manage household and event laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothing (including children's clothes), tablecloths and linens. Drop off and pickup dry cleaning. Keep closets meticulously organized and ensure linens/towels are freshly stocked. 3.
Event Setup, Serving & Support Pre-Event Prep & Setup:
Execute staging, and setting up for on-site and off-site events (arranging furniture, setting tables, putting up decorations, prepping event spaces)
Hospitality & Serving:
Act as main server or host assistant during events—greeting guests, plating and serving food, passing hors d'oeuvres, refreshing drinks, and ensuring guests are comfortable. Recruit other servers when needed.
Post-Event Breakdown:
Efficiently clean up, wash dishes/glassware, put supplies back where they belong, disassemble decorations, rearrange furniture back to its original layout, and ensure the space is pristine. 4.
Childcare Support & Babysitting Occasional Babysitting:
Provide safe, attentive care for the children during daytime hours, date nights, or weekend gaps (coordinated in advance).
Active Assistance:
Assist parents with infant/toddler/child care as needed, including pushing the stroller for walks, supervising outdoor play, and feeding the children
Transportation:
Pick up children from school daily and drive them safely to afternoon activities, appointments, or home. 5. Light Maintenance & Handyman Tasks Monitor both properties for maintenance needs and address minor issues immediately (e.g., changing light bulbs, tightening loose screws, replacing smoke detector batteries). Coordinate and oversee specialized contractors (e.g., plumbers, HVAC technicians) for major repairs.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Proven experience in professional organizing, residential/commercial cleaning, childcare, and hospitality, serving, or catering .
Hospitality & Service Skills:
A warm, professional, and welcoming demeanor; excellent presentation and customer service skills when interacting with guests.
Childcare Skills:
A patient, engaging personality with a genuine love for working with children.
Organizational Skills:
An "organizer's eye" with a passion for neatness and creating functional, tidy spaces (especially keeping toy areas and nurseries orderly).
Driving Record:
Valid Driver's License with a clean, safe driving history (background check required).
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for long periods (especially while serving or cleaning), bend, climb ladders, and lift/move heavy items like strollers or event furniture.

Sundays:
Babysitting then cleaning
- 4 hours Mondays Driving cleaning and laundry
- 5 hours Tuesdays Driving and on some days setup for event
- 2-3 hours Wednesdays Driving cleaning and laundry
- 5 hours Thursdays Driving
- 2 hours Friday Driving cleaning laundry and setup for event
- 9 hours Flexibility is required for occasional evening setup, serving and breakdown at events, which will be scheduled in advance.
