Job Description
Within the spirit of Making People s Dreams Come True , this position is responsible for assisting in providing The Villages Special Events in a professional manner throughout The Villages various venues and overseeing and assisting with set-up, safety, design, layout, and production of events. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation and distribution of event specific information packets. Distribute and track vendor invoicing and payments. Assist the Special Events Manager with the logistical and creative aspects of each event. Assist the Special Events Manager in day of needs, such as but not limited to: o Set up and breakdown. o Monitor perimeter of the event for safety issues. o Loading in/out vendors. Assist the Special Events Team in ensuring all events run smoothly from concept to completion. All other duties as assigned.Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three (3) to six (6) months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as business needs require. Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Problem solving skills and detail oriented. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business.
