Through sustainable agriculture, education, and community engagement, the 4Roots Farm Campus serves as a living example of how food can cultivate wellness, connection, and impact. Position Summary The Events and Engagement Coordinator leads the planning and execution of 4Roots-produced events that advance the organization's mission, community engagement, and strategic goals. This role owns the internal events calendar, coordinates cross-functional planning for signature events, and develops the systems and processes that ensure successful event execution year after year. Unlike events owned by other departments, this position serves as the primary planner and creative lead for events developed and produced by 4
Roots What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in event planning, nonprofit programming, community engagement, or a related field. Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in event planning or nonprofit event management. Experience planning and executing large-scale community, fundraising, or public events. Experience leading planning committees, volunteers, or cross-functional teams. Passion for the 4Roots mission and community impact. What You'll Do Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of 4Roots-produced events that support the organization's mission, community engagement, and strategic goals. Maintain the internal events calendar, develop event timelines, and create systems and processes that ensure successful event execution year after year. Lead planning efforts for signature events, including coordinating cross-functional teams, managing budgets, overseeing vendors, and directing on-site event execution. Serve as the primary point of contact for event-related vendors, partners, and stakeholders. Develop and maintain event playbooks, standard operating procedures, and planning resources to support continuous improvement and organizational knowledge.
