Sales & Events Manager Location:
The Pointe Orlando Orlando, Florida $65,000 Base Salary + 3% Uncapped Commission Full-Time | In-Person About the Opportunity We are seeking a relationship-driven sales professional who already possesses an established network within the Orlando business, hospitality, tourism, convention, event planning, or community markets and can leverage those relationships to generate group sales, private events, venue buyouts, and restaurant business. A flexible private event venue capable of hosting corporate meetings, convention groups, networking events, wedding-related celebrations, buyouts, receptions, and private functions. One of the most recognizable restaurant entertainment brands in the country, offering group dining experiences, corporate outings, team events, tour groups, celebrations, and restaurant buyouts. This is a business development and sales role, not an event coordinator position. The successful candidate will actively generate new business, build relationships throughout the Orlando market, manage incoming opportunities, and drive revenue through both the private venue and restaurant event business. Located minutes from the Orange County Convention Center and surrounded by hotels, entertainment venues, and tourism attractions, Pointe Orlando provides significant opportunity to develop corporate, convention, tourism, and local business relationships. The ideal candidate will arrive with existing relationships and a proven track record of developing business within the Orlando market rather than relying solely on inbound opportunities. What You'll Do Generate new business through networking, prospecting, referrals, relationship building, and direct sales efforts Build relationships with convention planners, meeting planners, DMCs, hotels, local businesses, chambers of commerce, tourism organizations, and community groups Sell private events, venue buyouts, restaurant group events, corporate outings, and special event opportunities Conduct client meetings, site tours, presentations, and sales calls Develop customized proposals and event solutions that meet client needs Attend networking events and represent the venue and restaurant throughout the Orlando market Develop strategic partnerships and local business relationships that drive revenue Manage leads, proposals, contracts, event documentation, and sales activity through Tripleseat Collaborate with operations and marketing teams to ensure successful execution of booked events Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline management to maximize conversion opportunities What You're Selling Private Event Venue Corporate meetings Convention functions Networking events Receptions Rehearsal dinners Welcome parties Wedding-related celebrations Private functions Venue buyouts Restaurant Group Events Corporate outings Team celebrations Tour groups Birthday parties Bachelor and Bachelorette parties Social gatherings Group dining experiences Restaurant buyouts Events can be tailored to client preferences, ranging from traditional private dining and corporate functions to a full entertainment experience What Makes This Opportunity Unique Unlike many event sales positions, this role offers the ability to sell multiple event experiences under one roof. Depending on the client's goals, events may be delivered as professional corporate functions, private venue rentals, restaurant buyouts, and themed group events. This flexibility allows you to appeal to a broad range of clients while creating customized solutions that fit their audience, objectives, and budget. What We're Looking For 3+ years of hospitality, hotel, restaurant, catering, convention, venue, tourism, or event sales experience preferred Proven ability to generate new business and build long-term client relationships Existing relationships within the Orlando hospitality, convention, tourism, business, or event community strongly preferred Strong networking, prospecting, communication, and follow-up skills Comfortable working independently while managing multiple opportunities and priorities Organized, proactive, and results-oriented Experience using CRM, event management, or sales tracking software preferred Knowledge of the Orlando market and local business community preferred Compensation & Benefits $65,000 base salary 3% uncapped commission on closed sales Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Ongoing support and coaching from the Sales Director Opportunity to represent a unique combination of private event venue and nationally recognized restaurant brand in one of the country's most active hospitality markets Location This is an in-person position based in Orlando, Florida. Candidates should currently reside in the Orlando area and possess strong knowledge of the local business, hospitality, tourism, convention, or event market.
