Event Staff

The Popcorn Lady is an on-site catering company that specializes in carnival food. We are looking for someone to be an Event Staff member to work any and all bookings, especially as we enter our busy season. This is a customer-facing job that requires a great personality and a can-do attitude. We are looking for upbeat people! Responsibilities :

• Set up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations, following event plans and guidelines.
• Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes are plated attractively and following our high-quality standards.
• Deliver our products to distribution clients as needed
• Serve food and beverages to guests with professionalism, attentiveness, and a friendly demeanor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the event, areas including; the dining area, buffet stations, and serving areas.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests at events courteously, providing accurate information and assistance.
• Clear tables, remove dishes and utensils, and reset event spaces efficiently, maintaining a smooth flow of service.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless coordination and teamwork during events.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices.
• Assist with post-event cleanup and breakdown, including packing and storing equipment and supplies.
• Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs, and going above and beyond to exceed their expectations.

Qualifications :

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members in a professional and friendly manner.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy trays or equipment as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as events may require.
• Previous experience in catering, banquet service, or a related field is preferred but not required. We are also open to hiring individuals with a strong passion for the industry and a willingness to learn.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
