Event & Catering Coordinator (Trainee) Metro Scoops Columbus, GA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $12 - $18 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work Catering In-person customer service Moving Logistics Business development Driver's License Event customer service Full Job Description We're looking for a dependable, energetic team member to help grow our catering, community event, and venue operations throughout the Columbus area. This position combines event setup, customer service, logistics, and sales. The right candidate will enjoy working independently, solving problems, and creating great experiences for our customers. Responsibilities Transport equipment and supplies to event locations using company vehicles Load, unload, set up, and break down event equipment Assist with ice cream catering events, festivals, fundraisers, and community events Represent the company professionally at all times Provide outstanding customer service to event guests and clients Maintain event equipment and inventory Assist with event operations Learn event scheduling, coordination, and planning responsibilities Develop relationships with local organizations and businesses Help generate new event and catering opportunities Maintain inventory Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work Ability to regularly lift and move 50+ pounds Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong communication and customer service skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Dependable, organized, and solution-oriented Weekend and occasional evening availability required Compensation & Growth Opportunities This position starts at approximately 25 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours during peak season. More hours can be added as you build a customer base and add events to the schedule. Employees who demonstrate reliability and strong performance will have opportunities to take on additional event coordination, sales, and management responsibilities. Commission opportunities are available for employees who develop and book new event business. Ideal Candidates This role is a great fit for former athletes, military spouses, business or marketing students, hospitality students, and individuals who enjoy taking ownership of projects and working independently. We're looking for someone who wants more than just a job. We want someone who is excited to help build and grow our event business.

$12.00 - $18.00 per hour
