The City of Suwanee is looking for a dependable, hands-on Special Events Staffer to help make our events and public spaces shine. From concerts and festivals to community gatherings, you'll play a key role in creating experiences that residents and visitors won't forget. This position works exclusively Suwanee event shifts and can expect to be scheduled for approximately 10-20 events per year, though this is an estimate and subject to change. In this role, you'll: Help set up and break down city events , including tents, staging, barricades, sound equipment, tables, chairs, and more Keep parks and facilities clean, safe, and guest-ready Perform light maintenance (think changing bulbs, minor repairs, unclogging drains) Install banners, signage, and event décor Operate equipment like golf carts, ATVs, and light-duty trucks Support event location setups and city facility needs Keep an eye on park activity and report any concerns Pitch in wherever needed to ensure events run smoothly What It Takes to Succeed This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, working outdoors, and being part of a team. You'll thrive here if you: Don't mind getting your hands dirty and working in all kinds of weather Can lift, carry, and move equipment (sometimes heavy!)
