Coordinator of Special Events St. Ambrose University - 4.3 Davenport, IA Job Details Full-time 9 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Community relationship building Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Coordinator of Special Events St. Ambrose University seeks a highly organized and relationship-focused professional to develop and execute alumni and community engagement initiatives. This role supports strategic efforts to increase alumni participation, strengthen donor engagement, and deliver meaningful, high-quality events. Key Responsibilities Support the development and execution of alumni and community engagement programming. Plan and manage events from start to finish, including Homecoming/Reunion and Bee Happy Hour. Coordinate vendors, campus partners, and volunteers; develop promotional materials; complete event reporting and tracking. Execute special events aligned with institutional priorities (e.g., McMullen Awards). Assist with donor events, including Day of Giving and Wine Festival (planning, marketing, auctions). Build relationships with alumni and donors; support engagement and solicitation initiatives. Assist with student engagement programming, Senior Reception, and annual giving efforts. Maintain accurate data entry and reporting; ensure data integrity in advancement systems. Support events requiring occasional evenings, weekends, and limited travel. Qualifications Bachelor's degree OR 6+ years of relevant experience. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. High attention to detail with a strong customer service orientation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with (or willingness to learn) CRM systems such as Ellucian Colleague Advancement.
