Job Description

About the role Prismatic exists to grow social-emotional learning and leadership for Chicago youth. This role supports the work that surrounds our programs rather than their day-to-day delivery: managing the partnerships, events, and activations that connect our programs to the wider community, and keeping operations running smoothly.
The work has two rhythms:
steady week-to-week responsibilities, and periodic special projects that ramp up around our signature events and campaigns. It is a strong fit for an organized, detail-driven project manager who is relationship-oriented and genuinely cares about this mission. What you'll do Events and special projects Prismatic runs a small number of signature events and campaigns each year, from our annual Cultivate conference to smaller fundraising events, activations, and seasonal campaigns. These are time-bound projects that intensify at certain points in the year. Support our largest event, Cultivate, by helping manage timelines, logistics, and coordination across the team and partners Lead project management for smaller events, activations, and campaigns, owning their timelines and logistics end to end, including supplies, vendor coordination, webpages, payment links, and supporting materials Program and operations support Keep programs running smoothly by coordinating supplies, volunteer and guest events, and partner visit logistics Manage administrative coordination for board onboarding and for school partners visiting Prismatic events Corporate and school partnerships Our corporate and school partners are central to the mission, not just the budget. Corporate partnerships in particular create career-readiness touchpoints for students, bringing professionals, workplaces, and real-world exposure into the program experience. Manage corporate partner activations as program integration moments, coordinating school site visits, student-facing engagements, and the recognition partners receive in return Support partnership development through proposals, pitch follow-ups, and keeping partner and donor relationships organized and stewarded Communications and marketing Design and send monthly newsletters and social content that share Prismatic's story and impact, guided by the ED and engagement committee What you'll bring Project management. Can hold several timelines at once, keep events and activations on track, and follow through without being chased. Comfortable owning the details from kickoff to wrap-up. Administrative strength. Organized and dependable with logistics, scheduling, and coordination. Notices the small things and keeps systems tidy. Communication and relationships. Warm, clear, and professional with everyone from students to corporate partners to board members. Writes well and represents Prismatic with care. Comfort with digital tools. Picks up new software quickly. Can work in a CRM or database, set up webpages and payment links, and manage email and content platforms. Collaborative and flexible. Thrives on a small, scrappy team where roles stretch and priorities shift. Pitches in wherever needed and stays adaptable as the organization grows. Self-direction. Takes direction and runs with it. Manages a workload that moves between steady weeks and busier event stretches. Mission alignment. Genuinely cares about young people, social-emotional learning, and equity across Chicago communities. Nice to have Nonprofit experience, especially in development, events, or partnerships Experience with Airtable or a similar CRM, since our database and automations live there Event or fundraising event planning experience Content creation skills, such as comfort with Canva, email marketing platforms, or social media tools Familiarity with Chicago schools or the CPS landscape Experience supporting corporate partnerships or sponsorships Compensation $20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience. Approximately 25-30 hours per week. To Apply Apply HERE or email debra@prismaticmovement.org with any questions about this position.
