About Us WickedBall Chicago is a high-energy 15,000 sq ft entertainment facility at Yorktown Center featuring bubble soccer, laser tag, archery tag, gel blasters, Nerf battles, mechanical bull, karaoke, sim racing, a 360 photo booth, and more. We host birthday parties, corporate events, school groups, and private buyouts year-round — plus mobile events at parks, schools, festivals, and corporate venues across Chicagoland.
Translation:
this place is a content goldmine. Bubble soccer wipeouts. Mechanical bull fails. Nerf wars. Glow events. Every single day here is footage. We need the person who sees that and can't help but hit record. What This Role Actually Is This is a content-first role. Your #1 job is to take over our social media channels and run with them — organically, consistently, relentlessly. You'll own Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts end to end: filming, editing, posting, engaging, and growing. Your #2 job is events. You'll create them, promote them, run them, and manage the team executing them — while capturing every moment on camera. The events feed the content, and the content fills the events. You own that flywheel. What You'll Do Content & Social (the core of the job) Post daily across our channels — minimum 5 original videos per week Film, edit, and publish short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) on fast turnaround Jump on trends while they're still trending — sounds, formats, challenges Engage with our audience daily: comments, DMs, tags, reviews, shares Capture content at every event — parties, corporate groups, mobile events, open play Build content series and recurring formats people come back for Go live regularly from events, open play, and behind the scenes Run contests, giveaways, and UGC campaigns that get customers posting about us Land collabs with local influencers, creators, schools, and businesses Track what's working and double down on it Events (the other half) Create and launch new in-house events: theme nights, tournaments, adult nights, holiday events Handle inbound event calls — answer questions, organize details, and confirm bookings Coordinate with clients leading up to their event so every detail is locked in Promote every event through your content and turn attendance into more content Run events on the floor — lead the room, manage party hosts and staff, own the energy Support mobile events during the season, including setup, execution, and breakdown Be hands-on: lifting equipment, setting up arenas, resetting the floor is part of the job Who We're Looking For First and foremost: the trending-content creator. You've grown an account — yours or a brand's. You live on TikTok and Reels, you know what hooks in the first second, and you can shoot, edit, and post a video the same day on a phone. You're comfortable going live, jumping on trends, and making content that feels native to the feed — not like an ad. If you're a polished commercial-quality producer instead, we still want to hear from you — but speed, volume, and trend instincts win here over production value. Either way, you also need to be someone who can lead people and run a live event — this is not a sit-behind-a-laptop job. You're on the floor, in the action, camera in hand. with your application — TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or a reel of work you personally created. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. Proven ability to shoot and edit short-form video (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) Comfortable on camera and comfortable directing others on camera Experience leading a team, shift, or event (or clear ability to) Available evenings and weekends — that's when our customers are here Able to lift 40+ lbs and be on your feet during events Valid driver's license (mobile events) What This Role Is NOT NOT a gig, contract, or freelance arrangement. Do not pitch us. We are not hiring an agency, a contractor, or an outside content creator. This is an IN-HOUSE, on-site employee position. Agencies and freelancers pitching services will not receive a response. NOT remote or hybrid. You're onsite in Lombard. The content is here, so you're here. NOT a 9-to-5. Evenings and weekends are our prime time and yours. NOT a quota-carrying sales role. We have a sales team. You'll handle event calls and confirmations, and for the right person this can grow into a commissioned sales role — but content comes first, always. NOT a "schedule some posts and go home" job. We want a creator, not a scheduler. Why This Job Is Actually Awesome Full creative ownership of a brand's voice and channels — your portfolio will explode Endless built-in content: 15,000 sq ft of attractions and events every week Your own promo code — when your content books events, commission hits YOUR check Tips on every event you work, plus 10% of net revenue on every event you create Bonuses tied directly to YOUR results — when your content grows, your check grows Small, tight-knit team that works hard and genuinely has fun Free play privileges — yes, you can ride the bull
Pay:
