Duties Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and budget for each event Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and checklists to ensure seamless execution Negotiate contracts with vendors including caterers, decorators, entertainment providers, and venue staff Coordinate logistics such as catering arrangements, banquet setups, guest accommodations, and transportation Manage event marketing efforts to promote events through social media, email campaigns, and local outreach Oversee onsite event setup, management, and breakdown to guarantee smooth operations Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly during events Monitor budgets closely, track expenses, and identify opportunities for upselling additional services or upgrades Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders—clients, vendors, venue staff—to ensure alignment and clarity Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement Qualifications Proven experience in event planning or hospitality roles such as restaurant management, hotel services, or banquet coordination Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts and vendor agreements Excellent marketing knowledge to effectively promote events and increase attendance Skilled in upselling additional services like catering upgrades or premium packages Familiarity with event marketing strategies and customer engagement techniques Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines Experience in budgeting and financial management for events of varying sizes Outstanding communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, and team members Background in banquet operations or catering services is highly desirable Knowledge of contracts, guest services, hospitality standards, and fundraising activities enhances your candidacy Embark on a rewarding journey where your creativity meets meticulous planning!
