Job Description

Overview Bonafide Bites Catering is seeking Event Staff to assist with catering events throughout South Central Indiana. This position includes event setup, food service, guest interaction, event tear-down, equipment transport, and kitchen cleanup. Ideal candidates are dependable, customer-focused, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where everyone is willing to jump in where needed and perform both guest-facing and behind-the-scenes tasks. Duties Work assigned shifts from event load-out at the kitchen through event setup, service, tear-down, return to the kitchen, equipment unloading, and dishwashing. May require operation of a personal or company vehicle to off-site event locations. Provide exceptional guest service by welcoming attendees, assisting with inquiries, and maintaining a professional appearance and attitude throughout events. Handle food service duties, including serving food and beverages to guests. Address guest concerns with professionalism and communicate effectively with team members to ensure events run smoothly. Transport, unload, and maintain catering equipment, supplies, and serving ware. Assist with cleaning and sanitation of event spaces, kitchen facilities, equipment, and food service areas, including dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal. Qualifications Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to and from the kitchen, event sites, and other work locations as assigned. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on event schedules. Ability to travel to event locations throughout South Central Indiana. Must be able to successfully pass a background check. Ability to maintain a clean, professional appearance, practice good personal hygiene, and comply with company dress code standards. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous experience in hospitality, catering, food service, or event staffing is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ability to perform well under pressure and adapt to changing situations. Ability to communicate professionally with guests, clients, and team members. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work on your feet for shifts lasting up to 8 hours or more. Ability to reach, pull, bend, squat, push, and lift 30-50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to load, unload, and transport catering equipment, tables, food carriers, and supplies. Ability to work in an environment with ovens, stoves, fryers, flat tops, dishwashers, slicers, steamers, mixers, and knives. Frequently exposed to sharp objects, heat, steam, fire, and noise. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license? Are you available to work evenings and weekends as needed?
