Job Description

We are seeking a talented
  • Customer Event Coordinator
  • to join the
  • Global Integrated Services (GIS)

  • In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • + Plan, coordinate, and deliver customer visits and Hospitality-supported meetings and events, serving as the primary point of contact for Cummins hosts, internal partners, and vendors.
+ Manage Hospitality-owned event spaces and calendars at the Columbus campus, ensuring accurate scheduling, clear communication, and seamless execution. + Support on-site event setup, execution, and teardown, including front-of-house responsibilities such as room setup, service coordination, dining support, and meeting room services. + Apply sound judgment in both planned and ad hoc situations to deliver a high-quality hospitality experience while adhering to safety, security, and service standards. + Partner closely with Cummins employees, Global Integrated Services teams, and preferred vendors to deliver safe, consistent, and high-quality hospitality experiences. + Coordinate document management, data entry, and information compilation with high data integrity, supporting accurate reporting, presentations, and informed decision-making. + Provide comprehensive administrative and analytical support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, coordinating calls, and responding to routine to complex inquiries as a reliable point of contact. + Support departmental effectiveness through consistent data tracking and reporting, facilitation of vendor and payment processes, and documentation of policies and procedures, while contributing to continuous improvement and serving as a resource for less-experienced colleagues.

  • Education/Experience
  • + High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. + Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Additional Information
  • This hourly role is responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and delivery of customer visits and Hospitality-supported meetings and events within Hospitality's scope.
The role serves as the primary point of contact for event hosts, manages Hospitality-owned event spaces and calendars at the Columbus campus, and partners closely with Cummins employees, Global Integrated Services teams, and preferred vendors. While this role sits within the Facilities function, it operates as part of
  • GIS•Hospitality•.
As business needs arise, this role may also support employee events or Cummins-sponsored events held off-site from Cummins-owned or managed properties.
  • Required Skills, Education, or Experience
  • + •Event Planning & Coordination Knowledge•Experience supporting meetings, events, hospitality, catering, or a related operational environment, including logistics, timelines, and vendor coordination.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences, including customers, internal stakeholders, and service partners. +
  • Organizational & Priority Management Skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and frequent task switching in a fast-paced, event-driven environment while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and follow-through.
