07/17/2026 About this opportunity: Ball State University is seeking individuals to work as temporary workers for special events and athletic events. Qualifying candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Position Function:
Maintain a safe environment for special events at the University.
Duties:
Provide security and direction at special events for Sports Facilities Management. Check patrons as they enter facilities. Seat patrons according to ticket location. Maintain Safety during special events. Secure facilities. Assist with event set-up and take-down when needed. Scanning and clicking tickets. Checking bags as patrons enter the facilities. Working miscellaneous events needing security, bag check, etc. Perform other related duties assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to work 3 of the 5 home football games. Ability to climb stairs and remain at highest points of a facility.
