The Irish Cultural Centre of Greater Boston (ICC) is seeking a dynamic, organized, and community-focused Events Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of cultural, corporate, fundraising, and community events held throughout the year on our 61-acre campus in Canton, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for ensuring all events reflect the mission and values of the ICC while delivering an exceptional experience for members, guests, sponsors, performers, and community partners. The Events Manager will work closely with internal teams, vendors, volunteers, committees, and outside organizations to execute successful and financially responsible events. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute ICC signature events, cultural programs, fundraisers, private functions, and community gatherings.
- Manage all event logistics including timelines, vendor coordination, staffing, rentals, entertainment, permits, room setups, catering, and audiovisual needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, sponsors, performers, and event partners.
- Work collaboratively with the Programming, Development, Membership, Bar & Kitchen, and Building & Grounds teams.
- Oversee event budgets, contracts, invoicing, and post-event reporting to ensure events meet financial goals.
- Coordinate event staffing schedules, volunteers, and onsite event operations.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and hospitality for all guests and visitors.
- Support sponsorship activation and donor recognition during events.
- Assist with marketing and promotional efforts in collaboration with the communications and social media team.
- Maintain event calendars, booking systems, and event files.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing, and insurance requirements.
- Participate in evening and weekend events as required. Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, hospitality, nonprofit, cultural, or venue operations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and event logistics.
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Passion for community engagement, Irish culture, and nonprofit mission-driven work is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Eventbrite, and social media platforms and Toast preferred. Key Attributes
