Events Coordinator Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School - 4.0 Danvers, MA Job Details Part-time $30 - $35 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Customer communication Productivity software Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School District is seeking a part-time Events Coordinator to support the work of The Larkin and District events. We are seeking an Events Coordinator to oversee the planning and execution of events while supporting student engagement and maintaining strong community partnerships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and passionate about creating exceptional event experiences in an educational setting. CORI, SAFIS, and SORI required. Bilingual preferred. Position not to exceed 30-hours per week (Benefits eligible)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5 years of event coordination or hospitality experience Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience working in a restaurant, catering, or event venue environment preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings (events conclude by 9:00 PM) Proficiency with event management and standard office software (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Adobe, etc).
Duties:
Coordinate all aspects of events hosted at The Larkin, including meetings, community functions, and special events. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from inquiry through event completion. Manage booking inquiries, scheduling, and event logistics. Collaborate with culinary staff and students to plan and execute menu offerings. (breakfast, lunch, dinner service) Develop event timelines, room setups, and staffing plans. Oversee on-site event operations, ensuring high-quality service and guest experience. Ensure compliance with venue policies, including scheduling limits and community considerations. (e.g., event timing and neighborhood impact) Coordinate with facilities, transportation, and security teams as needed. Maintain vendor relationships and assist with contract coordination. Track event budgets, billing, and post-event reporting. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent-Director or their designee.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events Frequent movement between event spaces, kitchen areas, and offices Ability to lift and/or move items up to 25-30 pounds (e.g., event materials, supplies) Occasional bending, reaching, and setting up event spaces (tables, chairs, equipment) Ability to work in a fast-paced, active environment with moderate noise levels Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends in alignment with scheduled events Work may take place in a variety of settings, including kitchens, dining areas, and event spaces
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a 12-month position, with hours to be set by the Superintendent-Director or designee. Salary and fringe benefits are established by the Superintendent-Director in accordance with the policies established by the School Committee.
