Job Description

The Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association (MVCMA) is seeking an organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented Programs Coordinator to support and execute seasonal programming during the summer months. As a National Historic Landmark and faith-based community, MVCMA is dedicated to perpetuating our religious and historical heritage while engaging all in education and spiritual growth within a welcoming environment. The Programs Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that summer events, services, and community programs are thoughtfully planned, well-communicated, and professionally executed for residents, Islanders, and visitors alike.

Approximately 15-30 hours per week (up to 33 hours during peak periods), including some office hours and evening and weekend event management
Reports To:
General Manager What You'll Do Ensure venues are properly prepared for recurring programs and special events, confirming that all necessary equipment, supplies, and support are in place. Serve as the primary point of contact for performer logistics for special events, coordinating schedules and technical requirements. Assist with promotional poster design and distribution throughout the Island. Act as an ambassador for MVCMA, building and maintaining positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, performers, vendors, and the public. Maintain organized records for all events, including contracts, financial information, and attendance data, and provide documentation to the GeReport to the General Manager while coordinating the planning and execution of seasonal programs and special events held on MVCMA grounds, primarily during July and August. Assist in maintaining the Summer Season Calendar, ensuring accurate and timely communication of events and updates across all media platforms and to staff, volunteers, and committee members. Participate in weekly staff meetings and ensure accurate preparation and communication of event orders and production details. Support the implementation of MVCMA's social media plan, including video content, with ongoing evaluation and adaptation to meet audience engagement goals. Provide administrative oversight for production logistics, including tracking contracts, venue rentals, deposits, insurance documentation, and operational deadlines. Ensure venues are properly prepared for both recurring programs and special events, confirming that all necessary equipment, supplies, and support are in place. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the summer season. This role calls for strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic seasonal environment. What We're Looking For Experience in marketing, communications, and/or event coordination. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals and groups. Professionalism, initiative, and a solution-oriented mindset. Comfort working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during peak programming periods. Work Environment This position involves both office-based administrative work and on-site event management across MVCMA grounds.
