PART-TIME EVENT PLANNER + STORE MANAGER

Sunset on Midsummer — Wildwood Shopping Center, Bethesda, MD Starting at $26/hour Part-Time Key Holder Position Events + Retail Management Sunset on Midsummer is looking for an organized, outgoing, creative, and detail-oriented team member to help lead our growing store and expanding events business. This role blends event planning, customer experience, retail management, and customization operations in a fun, fast-paced boutique environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO

EVENTS + PARTY

PLANNING

Manage birthday party and private event inquiries Send event packets, pricing, booking forms, and confirmations Coordinate party details including customization selections, sizing, colors, and timing Help plan and execute in-store events and activations Communicate with families and customers throughout the booking process Organize event supplies, staffing, and setup logistics Assist with creating memorable customer experiences during parties and workshops

STORE MANAGEMENT + OPERATIONS

Open and close the store as a key holder Lead daily store operations during scheduled shifts Assist customers on the sales floor and at checkout Support merchandising, restocking, and maintaining store presentation Help manage inventory and organization Train and support younger team members Maintain a clean, organized, elevated store environment

CUSTOMIZATION + CREATIVE SUPPORT

Comfortable learning and operating customization equipment including heat presses and embroidery machines Help customers create personalized items Organize transfers, apparel blanks, and custom order tracking Assist with seasonal launches, camp collections, and special product drops Support social media content creation and event promotion when needed

WHO YOU ARE

Outgoing, positive, and confident communicating with customers Highly organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable multitasking in a busy retail environment Responsible, dependable, and proactive Creative and excited by fashion, events, and branding Comfortable working evenings and weekends when needed Retail, hospitality, event planning, or management experience preferred Comfortable working with high-heat equipment and learning new systems
