This role is highly hands-on and guest-facing, requiring flexibility, professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. At this time, this position will operate as a one-person banquet department, meaning the selected candidate must be comfortable managing all aspects of event operations from start to finish. Full-time hours are provided with the possibility of overtime based on business demands. Essential Responsibilities Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event orders and client specifications Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, décor, and meeting room configurations Handle all event audiovisual (A/V) setup and troubleshooting, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, TVs, and conference equipment Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients during events Provide professional and responsive customer service to meeting planners, wedding parties, corporate clients, and guests Monitor events throughout execution to ensure quality standards are met Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, storage areas, and equipment Communicate with hotel departments including Front Desk, Sales, Housekeeping, and Maintenance to ensure smooth event operations Assist with room flips and multiple event transitions within tight timelines Identify and respond to guest needs and operational issues in a timely and professional manner Follow all hotel safety, cleanliness, and brand standards Schedule & Availability Requirements Must be available to work irregular and changing schedules based on business demands Must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and early mornings Schedule flexibility is required, as event times and operational needs may change frequently Overtime may be required during busy periods Qualifications Previous banquet, hospitality, restaurant, or event experience preferred Experience with basic audiovisual equipment strongly preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong time management and multitasking skills Excellent communication and guest service skills Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments Must be dependable, adaptable, and solution-oriented Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and moving banquet equipment and furniture required Position Details Full-Time Position Overtime opportunities available based on business levels Reports to hotel management/sales leadership This position is ideal for someone who enjoys event operations, thrives in an independent role, and takes pride in creating exceptional guest experiences from setup to execution.
