You will oversee wedding day logistics, coordinate vendors, and ensure every celebration runs flawlessly. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and budgetary parameters, translating ideas into detailed plans. Manage all aspects of wedding event planning, including venue selection, vendor negotiations, catering arrangements, floral design, entertainment, and décor. Coordinate with vendors such as caterers, photographers, florists, entertainers, and venue staff to ensure seamless execution of every detail. Develop comprehensive timelines and checklists to keep all team members aligned and on schedule leading up to the event day. Oversee contract negotiations and ensure all agreements meet legal standards while maximizing value for clients. Lead on-site event management during wedding days—supervising setup, coordinating staff, troubleshooting issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Implement effective marketing strategies to promote services through social media, event marketing campaigns, and client referrals; upsell additional services to enhance client experiences. Maintain meticulous records of budgets, contracts, vendor contacts, and client preferences to streamline operations and future planning. Foster excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries proactively and providing personalized attention throughout the planning process. Uphold high standards of hospitality by ensuring all guest services are handled professionally and warmly. Qualifications Proven experience in event planning or hospitality sectors such as banquet management, restaurant operations, hotel services or fundraising events. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms from vendors and venues. Will to travel around Michigan to destination venues. Demonstrated expertise in contracts management, catering coordination, and banquet experience. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and outstanding organizational abilities. Skilled in time management with the capacity to juggle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Prior experience in guest services or hospitality environments that require high levels of customer care. Familiarity with event management software or CRM tools preferred; a background in restaurant or hotel operations highly advantageous.
