We are looking for Event Captains who are strong leaders, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role is ideal for experienced hospitality professionals looking for flexible scheduling and opportunities to lead event teams. Position Summary The Event Captain is responsible for leading event execution from setup through completion. This role oversees event staff, ensures all details align with the Banquet Event Order, and maintains high service standards to deliver a seamless and memorable experience for clients and guests.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise event staff during setup, service, and breakdown Ensure all event details are executed according to the Banquet Event Order Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure client satisfaction Coordinate with culinary, sales, and operations teams Train, support, and guide team members to maintain service standards Monitor event flow and proactively resolve issues Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout events Complete event documentation and maintain accurate records Enforce safety standards and address hazards as needed Foster a positive, team-oriented environment Qualifications 1-3 years of banquet, catering, or hospitality experience required Previous leadership or supervisory experience required Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to multitask and adapt quickly Basic computer skills required Experience with POS or event systems preferred Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for extended periods and carry up to 25 pounds Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Why You Will Love This Role Flexible scheduling, you pick up shifts that fit your availability Opportunity to lead events at a variety of unique venues Strong, supportive team environment Schedule Day, evening, and night shifts available Weekend and holiday availability required Typical shifts range from 8-12 hours Steady opportunities available during peak season (April through November) Apply today to join a team that values teamwork, professionalism, and the creation of unforgettable events.
