Overview Join us as a Retail Orchard Director and Event Planner, where you will lead the development and management of vibrant retail orchard experiences and dynamic events that captivate our community. This role combines strategic oversight of orchard operations with creative event planning, ensuring memorable customer experiences while driving sales and engagement. You will be the driving force behind cultivating a lively, welcoming environment that highlights our unique offerings and fosters lasting relationships with visitors. Responsibilities Oversee daily orchard operations, including staffing, maintenance, and safety protocols to ensure a top-tier visitor experience. Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events such as harvest festivals, seasonal celebrations, private parties, and community outreach programs. Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to promote events and orchard activities through social media, local partnerships, and community engagement initiatives. Negotiate contracts with vendors, caterers, entertainers, and venue partners to secure quality services within budget. Manage event budgets meticulously, tracking expenses and maximizing resources to deliver successful outcomes. Coordinate catering services and banquet arrangements for special events, ensuring high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction. Lead a team of staff members and volunteers, providing training in customer service, event management, and safety procedures to ensure smooth operations. Foster strong relationships with guests by delivering exceptional guest services and addressing inquiries promptly. Implement upselling techniques to enhance revenue opportunities during events through product offerings or exclusive experiences. Maintain organizational records related to contracts, permits, insurance policies, and compliance documentation for all orchard activities. Requirements Excellent marketing acumen with an ability to develop creative promotional campaigns for events. Demonstrated ability in upselling products or services to increase revenue streams during events. Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. Effective time management skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Experience in managing budgets, contracts, catering arrangements, and large-scale event logistics. Familiarity with orchard or agricultural environments is a plus; hospitality experience highly valued. Strong communication skills paired with organizational abilities to lead teams efficiently.
