Job Description

Plaza Event staff are responsible for the day-to-day functions and operations that take place on the Plaza grounds and within the Casino for special events, horseracing, concerts, banquets, and more. High school diploma or GED Must be 19 years of age Must be able to obtain a Nebraska Gaming/Racing license; background check required Must be proficient in English; verbal and written Able to work weekends, days, evenings, nights, and holidays as requested Ability to carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time and ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period Must be able to work in an environment with varying noise levels, flashing lights, and varying temperatures from extreme cold to extreme heat. Maintains professional appearance and demeanor throughout shift Abide by set instructions as set by the Event Coordinator or Department Leader Maintain equipment and supplies in an orderly manner Set up and tear down of event space Bartending, serving, running concessions Interact effectively and courteously with all guests and team members and inform guests of event information Responsible for taking beverage orders from guests, and servers, prepare drinks correctly, and return these orders in a timely manner Responsible for enforcing guest intoxication limitations and company policy regarding limitations Responsible for developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including resolving minor guest disputes and ensuring the safety and security of all guests and Team Members Responsible for the following: stock bar items, fill ice bins, replenish juice used at bars, empty garbage, mop floors, keep all areas including bar mats and coolers clean and orderly Any other duties as assigned
